Romantic Christmas Market in Seefeld
Festive atmosphere in the pedestrian zone from November to January
From 22 November 2025, the romantic Christmas market in Seefeld’s pedestrian zone once again opens its doors. Atmospheric, festive and welcoming, Seefeld invites guests to enjoy the beloved Christmas market with delicious local treats and traditional charm. What better way to usher in the pre-Christmas season?
Until 6 January 2026, visitors can look forward to culinary delights, fragrant mulled wine, hot punch, regional handicrafts, and lovingly crafted gift ideas and souvenirs.
Culinary delights at the Seefeld Christmas Market
Culinary specialties once again attract numerous visitors this year – including the famous Tyrolean Kiachln. This much-loved Tyrolean yeast pastry is available in both sweet and savoury versions. In short,
a piece of yeast dough is fried in hot fat. The hollow in the centre is then filled with either cranberry jam or sauerkraut – sweet or savoury, but always hearty, filling and delicious. Naturally, this specialty at the Seefeld Christmas Market is traditionally accompanied by a mug of hot mulled wine.
Christmas shopping with atmosphere
If you are still looking for gifts for your loved ones, you will also find plenty of inspiration here. High-quality knitwear, beekeeping products, hand-carved nativity figures and many other charming items await you at the market. Of course, Seefeld’s local retailers also take part, opening their around 40 shops on Advent weekends. Here you will find both traditional craftsmanship and international brands – perfect for Christmas shopping.
The Seefeld Christmas Market is open daily from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm (food and beverage stalls; craft stalls close at 7:00 pm).
Atmospheric Advent programme
The varied Advent programme is rounded off in the evenings when Seefeld brass ensembles perform traditional Christmas carols. Those who prefer something more dramatic can watch the Krampus runs and promise to behave all year long. The Advent markets in neighbouring villages are also well worth a visit. Advent traditions to experience on foot
One of the most beautiful Advent traditions is the Chapel Walk in Leutasch. On the four Advent weekends (Fridays and Saturdays), participants visit the most charming chapels of the Leutasch Valley. The guided walks are led by Monika and Hans Neuner, who share fascinating insights into these small historic buildings. The tours are accompanied by atmospheric choirs and brass music. After the walk, guests enjoy a traditional stop at a local inn, warming up and discovering – and surely falling in love with – regional culinary specialties.
