Arriving by car via Munich and Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Travelling from the north, follow the route via Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald. Continue on the B177 towards Seefeld.

This route can be used without an Austrian motorway vignette. The final approach depends on the location of your Kaltschmid Hotel. Please refer to your hotel’s website for detailed directions.

Arriving by car via Füssen and Fernpass

Depending on your starting point, you can also reach Seefeld via Füssen, Reutte and Fernpass. From there, continue towards Telfs and follow the road via Mösern to Seefeld.

We recommend checking current traffic conditions and possible restrictions along the Fernpass route before departure.

Arriving by car via Innsbruck

Guests travelling from Austria or southern Europe can reach Seefeld via Innsbruck and Zirl on the B177. If you are arriving from Italy, the route usually leads via the Brenner Pass and Innsbruck.

Motorway vignettes and additional toll charges may apply, depending on your chosen route. For the final directions to your accommodation, please visit the website of your booked Kaltschmid Hotel.

Arriving by car via Arlberg and Telfs

Travelling from the west, a common route leads through Vorarlberg, the Arlberg region and Landeck to Telfs. Continue via Mösern to reach Seefeld.

Depending on your starting point, alternative routes may be more convenient. Please note that an additional toll applies when using the Arlberg Road Tunnel.

Travelling to Seefeld by train and bus

Seefeld is also easily accessible without a car. International rail connections take you to Innsbruck or Munich, with onward train services to Seefeld via Innsbruck or Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Mittenwald.

The scenic Karwendel Railway connects Innsbruck with the Seefeld plateau. Seefeld railway station is located next to the pedestrian zone and offers connections to regional bus services.

Overnight train to Innsbruck: Urlaubs-Express 2026/2027

Make your winter journey part of the holiday. During the 2026/2027 winter season, the Urlaubs-Express (UEX) offers selected overnight train services from Hamburg and, on certain dates, Amsterdam to Innsbruck. Additional boarding stations may be available depending on the service.

Travel comfortably in a couchette or sleeper compartment while your skis and snowboards are transported free of charge in a dedicated ski compartment. From Innsbruck, continue by train to Seefeld and then to your booked Kaltschmid Hotel.

Please note: Some connections from Amsterdam include a connecting bus service as part of the journey.

Getting from Seefeld railway station to your hotel

Regional buses provide connections from Seefeld railway station to destinations throughout the plateau. Taxis and private transfers are also available for your onward journey to your Kaltschmid Hotel.

Arriving by public transport? If you wish to use eligible regional transport services on your way to the hotel, you will need your digital PlateauCard before arrival.
